Founded by Angela Hamilton in 2011 as a small independent contemporary dance company, Twisted Element has evolved into one of Australia’s leading voices in immersive dance theatre.

Reborn in 2017 with the groundbreaking production Opus, the company redefined its direction- moving beyond traditional performance to create transformative, multi-sensory experiences that fuse dance, theatre, design, and social experimentation.

Since then, Twisted Element has continued to push the boundaries of form and perception through acclaimed works such as Ritual, establishing a signature style that dissolves the line between performer and audience. Each production invites participants into an intoxicating collision of movement, sound, and visual art- where chaos and beauty coexist, and connection becomes the ultimate performance.
